Prior to establishing Landmark, Darren worked with Alliance Companies in the Chicagoland area focusing on syndicated commercial real estate investments. Before his work in real estate, Darren co-founded Winebid.com, an Internet fine wine auction. Needless to say, should you find yourself in need of a good wine to celebrate your first successful investment transaction, Darren will gladly help with that, as well.

Barbara Rankin has been helping her clients achieve their real estate goals with overwhelming success since moving to Summit County in 2005, and specializes in resort property and second homes. Barbara brings a wealth of valuable real estate expertise to the group, enhanced by her varied career background in business, finance and sales. After graduating from the US Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-law, Barbara spent six years as an Air Force Officer. While acting as the finance officer at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio she also earned her MBA from Ohio State University, followed by a two year financial management assignment in Tokyo, Japan. She then transitioned into the civilian world, managing surgical equipment sales in Seattle and covering the northwest region. After then spending a year traveling the world, bicycle touring and working at a winery, a love of the mountains and outdoors led her to Summit County. Barbara enjoys going above and beyond for her clients because real estate combines all of her education, experience, skills and passion into a job where she can truly use them for the benefit of others. She is committed to understanding what is important to each individual client because providing personalized service will allow them to make an informed decision. Barbara works hard to ensure that all of her clients’ needs are met while enabling them to relax, enjoy the mountains, and let her take care of the details.

In her free time Barbara loves to take advantage of Summit County’s varied outdoor activities with her husband, Todd. You may run into her on Dillon Reservoir on a kayak, on a mountain trail hiking or mountain biking, or on the slopes snowboarding.

Todd Rankin brings a vast and diverse background to his real estate practice in Summit County. After graduating with a degree in Economics from the University of Virginia, Todd served in the Air Force for 5 years where he earned his MBA at night. He then spent 6 years doing Business Development in Northern Virginia, Tokyo, Japan and Seattle, Washington for UUNET, the first commercial internet service provider. Initially, he helped expand operations into South America and Asia. In Seattle, he focused on growing business within several FORTUNE 500 global accounts. After taking a year off to travel and learn how to make wine, Todd and his wife, Barb decided to shorten their commute to the mountains and moved to Summit County in order to spend more time around mountains, snow and family.

Todd welcomes the chance to introduce you to all that the Colorado high country has to offer from great restaurants, powder stashes, single track and especially real estate. He specializes in residential real estate, with a keen eye towards rental income. He is also a successful quarter share property developer and can help you with your vacant lot needs. His goal is to help his clients achieve their real estate goals, while enabling them to relax, enjoy the mountains, and let him take care of the details. By being responsive, attentive, and knowledgeable, Todd hopes that each of his customers will feel like they are his only one.

Todd spent his first two years in real estate at Prudential Timberhill, one of the top real estate firms in Breckenridge, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Summit Association of Realtors for Breckenridge.
